A couple’s mini photography shoot at Dillon Falls in Bend, Oregon

On the 29th July, 2018 I had the pleasure of photographing Courtney and Josh’s wedding day which was such a dream and one of my favorite weddings of that year!

I love catching up with my Kate Holt Couples and that is exactly what this shoot was about, we pretty much hung out like old friends and chatted it up while taking some gorgeous portraits - one of my favorite kinds of shoots!

A little over a month ago I heard from Courtney, which was so exciting, and we scheduled a couple’s mini session right away in Bend. This is a wedding photographer’s paradise because the number of gorgeous photography locations seems to be unlimited and all of them are unbelievable!

Something you will easily perceive as you scroll through some of my favorite photos here is just how much fun they have together and how much they enjoy each other. I remember them being just like this on their wedding day and I was so happy to see that their love was still blooming and growing two years later.

I can’t believe how fast time goes and that their two year anniversary is just around the corner!

Courtney and Josh live in Redmond, Oregon with their cute pups who they take paddle boarding out on the lakes every so often. After my weekend in Bend I realized that if you live in Bend then you definitely paddle board! And why not? The weather is amazing and you get to spend some quality time together!

Josh has an awesome job working with Apple in the Prineville area and even gets to travel abroad once in a while too!

Courtney was the sweetest and even made Dom and I Pavlova which was just yum! We had a wedding later that day so had scheduled their couples session for the morning and she even got up extra early to make fresh whipped cream for us and brought it to the shoot in a little coolbox, how amazing is that!? If you have never had Pavlova then Courtney is your gal because it was d-e-li-cious! Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert named after the Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova (who would have known, right?). Courtney was telling us the story of how it came to be named after her because when she tried it she loved it so much they ended up naming it after her! It has a crisp crust and a soft, light inside, usually topped with fruit and whipped cream and just melts in your mouth! She gave it to us for the ride home but we ate it right then and there!

Wedding photography brings so many amazing couples into my life which is such a blessing and I cannot wait to see these two again in the near future!

Happy Early Anniversary Courtney and Josh. ❤️
