Simply The Best Photographers

There are just too many amazing things to say about Kate Holt Photography. We did an engagement photo session with them and, while we were nervous about the idea of taking photos, the actual experience was just plain fun. We laughed so much our sides hurt and the photos turned out so beautifully we used them for both our save the dates and our invitations. More importantly, we were really excited to take photos again at our wedding! It was a blast to take photos and even our most camera-shy friends and family said they felt at ease in front of the camera (and even had fun). To top it off, the photos were just incredible (we definitely shed many tears when we saw them).

The Best of the Best

As soon as we met, we knew that we didn’t need to interview anyone else, she was a perfect fit. During our engagement shoot, Kate made us feel so unbelievably comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are huge jokesters and were convinced that we couldn’t take serious pictures that looked decent. Kate made them more than decent- they were literally everything we could’ve ever wanted. When the morning finally came, she showed up early (thankfully!) and got straight to work. Again, she made all of us feel super comfortable and truly like I was hanging out with a friend. On top of that, our pictures turned out perfect.

Incredible Experience and Photos

It was an absolute delight working with Kate. We had to cancel our wedding plans for May of 2020 and Kate was extremely understanding and accommodating. When we finally decided on a date, we had some doubts as to whether we could use our original location as a setting for our pictures, but Kate went above and beyond to scout for alternative locations. Everyone compliments our wedding photos because they turned out so good. Kate Holt Photography was founded as a husband and wife team with over 20 years of photography experience.

We have shot for newspapers and magazines all over the world and now make Portland, Oregon our home.

We live in South East Portland and love the hustle of a busy Friday night on Division as we take in some wings at Pok Pok, or enjoy a caffeinated morning cup of coffee from our favorite cafe, Nossa Familia.

After growing our business in the Portland area, we expanded to Seattle, Bend, Phoenix, Nashville, Hawaii and beyond! Locally, we also welcomed a team of associate photographers who shoot in the same style and who have the same high-quality joyful client experience that we ourselves make as the foundation of our business.

These associate photographers are now a part of the Kate Holt Photography family and shoot a portion of our weddings every year!

Hi, I'm Staci. I'm an Oregonian through and through which entails a lot of adventuring, hiking, coffee drinking, and enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. My love of photography manifested itself when I was just a shy teenager that didn't know how to express myself or connect to others. Photography gave me a creative outlet where I learned to connect with so many people. I have fallen in love with documenting genuine human connection, love, and all the raw emotions that come with being human.

I have been a wedding photographer for 5 years now and like to think of myself as a wedding day photo documentary specialist.
