Caroline & Jeff

An Engagement Session on Orcas Island, San Juans, WA.

I could tell you Caroline and Jeff’s adorable love story, but honestly, the way Caroline tells it is the absolute best and sweetest!

“Jeff & I met on Bumble. We had a brunch date, had a great time learning more about each other, and when we didn’t want the date to end, went for a walk by the water. We said our goodbyes but were already texting in less than an hour. I gave him a hard time about not giving me a kiss goodbye. We are both very competitive and had talked a lot of smack to each other about golf & darts, among other things. He invited me over later that night to play darts, even told me to bring my dog, and the moment I walked in the house, he gave me the sweetest kiss we’ll never forget! we drank whiskey and I beat him in darts, although he’ll tell you differently. On our 2nd date we played golf, and we’ve been playing golf ever since. We’ve survived moving in together, redecorating a house together, unemployment and COVID together all in 2020 and know if we can get thru this year, we can get through anything. He proposed on Christmas morning by hiding the ring in my stocking. I quickly said yes, and cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together!”

Caroline and Jeff have the most incredible wedding planned in Nashville next year and Dom and I couldn’t be more excited for it!

For their engagement session, Caroline and I talked back and forth about what location might feature Jeff and her’s relationship the most, knowing for sure that gold hand to be a part of it somehow!

As the summer gave way to fall, Caroline planned a get-away weekend to Orcas Island in the San Juans. It was so much fun to travel around and visit all of Caroline and Jeff’s favorite spots, including a pottery gallery that they’ve been coming to for years.

The golf course on the island was just closing for the season, so we got the blessing of the local caretaker to be able to wander around on the greens for a few photos as the weather took a turn for the extra-chilly and Caroline and Jeff still managed to brave out taking photos in the wind and rain.

Retreating to a pub while the worst of the weather passed us by, we also drove up to the top of Mount Constitution, took a walk along the coastline of Orcas and even was invited onto some private property where we got to include the San Juan’s famous and stunning Madrone trees before circling back to take some portraits with Caroline and Jeff’s adorable pup on the expansive grounds of the Rosario Hotel.

Spending a weekend with Jeff and Caroline was more like hanging with good friends we hadn’t seen in a while and if Dom and I thought we were excited for their wedding before, our anticipation has doubled at least!

Enjoy this little selection of images from Caroline and Jeff’s engagement session weekend gettaway and leave a comment of congratulations for them in the comments section below!
