A Summer Wedding in Hood River, OR
Ready for one stunner of a wedding day? Cue Kelsey and Peter’s picture-perfect wedding day hosted at Kelsey’s parent’s gorgeous property in Hood River, Oregon.
Kelsey and Peter met in college at Eastern Oregon University and it didn’t take long before the sparks were flying between them, initiating a romance that would eventually lead to their engagement.
“He is the calm to my storm” stated Kelsey when describing her and Peter’s relationship that has been years in the making.
Planning their wedding day at Kelsey’s parent’s estate was a no-brainer for Kelsey and Peter who have many incredible memories with their tight-knit group of friends who also made up their lively bridal party.
Arriving to their home on the perfect summer saturday I could see Keley’s mom just pinning up the final floral arrangements on the arch framing the ceremony space. The perfectly manicured lawn was adorned with rows of chairs for the guests who would arrive shortly to enjoy in celebrating the union of Kelsey and Peter as husband and wife.
Kelsey and her bridesmaids were having the finishing touches put on their wedding day looks before donning robes and enjoying mimosas before the big reveal of Kelsey in her gorgeous dress.
After Kelsey’s first look with her bridesmaids, the minutes of the day seemed to slip by faster and faster and before we knew it, all the chairs were filled and it was time for the main event!
Kelsey and Peter exchanged private vows just before walking down the ceremony without seeing each other and as Kelsey made her way down the aisle and Peter finally got to see his bride, the emotion was evident on his face.
Peter and Kelsey chose to feature a unity ceremony in their wedding before exchanging rings and sealing their new life together with their first kiss and husband and wife!
As the sun set and the gorgeous evening light shone on Mount Hood, we snapped some ‘Just Married’ bridal portraits as Kelsey and Peter’s guests enjoyed drinks at the bar and ate scrumptious BBQ!
As the sun set Kelsey and Peter made their grand entrance and each of their wedding party entered to a choreographed song and some pretty stellar moves!
The reception included touching toasts from the Maid of Honor and the Best Man, as well as a beautiful first dance between the newlyweds.
As I took my leave the party was just starting and I wouldn’t be surprised if it lasted to sun up!
