Courtney + Spencer
An Engagement Session at

It’s always so impressive to me when we connect with a couple who not only have been together for years, but who have been successful at nurturing their relationship while physically distant from each other.
Courtney and Spencer are just the most wonderful couple, and after initially meeting and falling for one another, Courtney had to move for school while she pursued her passion of becoming an educator.
All throughout Courtney’s attendance at Western Washington University, she and Spencer continued to date, driving to see each other on the weekends when they could and growing together as a couple.
When I first met Courtney, I particularly loved finding out that during their years of dating these two enjoyed a good game of cribbage- a game that is personally in every one of my family’s get-together itineraries. They also play chess together and enjoy tennis and hiking!
Sharing both a love of the outdoors and cozy nights in, Courtney and Spencer have found a love together that is forever and they will be celebrating this love this coming August 6th hosting their wedding at Spencer’s parent’s private estate, complete with strings of twinkle lights and a dusty blue and light blush color palette.
For their engagement session, Courtney and Spencer were given a PNW classically cold, foggy winter day. Gabby, their photographer, was really impressed with both Courtney and Spencer for being such troopers and ditching their warm puffy jackets for various poses while they hiked all over Powell Butte Nature Park in SE Portland.
When Gabby and I chatted about Courtney and Spencer’s engagement session, she noted just how much fun the shoot was, with Spencer making Courtney laugh at every turn, and eager to sweep up his soon-to-be bride in his arms to ward off the foggy morning chill.
I couldn’t be more excited for this beautiful couple and can’t wait to see the summer-glow of their wedding images this coming August!
