Top Vendor Recommendations for 2022
With the wedding season right around the corner a lot of you are probably at the point of needing to nail down some of your final vendors. With so much work to be done in order to plan a wedding it’s not uncommon for some vendors to get pushed to the end of the to-do list. Maybe you have someone in mind and simply haven’t reached out or perhaps you still have no idea who to work with!
Simply put, there are hundreds upon hundreds of options to choose from, whether you're looking for a DJ, makeup artist, officiant, or even your photographer chances are you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options provided to you. That’s where I’d like to offer some suggestions! I’ve been in the wedding business as a photographer for nearly a decade and I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the greatest vendors in the PNW!
To keep this blog from dragging on and on, I’ve picked one of my favorite vendors from each of the major vendor categories. That doesn't mean that vendors outside this specific list are any less professional or proficient, in fact for most vendor categories I have way more than one suggestion. Wedding Planning and Day-Of Coordination
I have personally worked with multiple agencies in this category, and I have two specific ones that I refer my couples to. Both are great options however, for this list there can only be one and thus I had to choose!
MH Events
Morgan and her team at MH Events are seriously some of the best in the business! They have years of experience and will make planning your wedding and the day-of way less stressful but also fun! At the end of the day that’s what it’s all about anyways right?!
They offer a variety of packages that vary to fit your needs and budget! Their website is super user friendly and easy to navigate, meaning you spend less time trying to get in contact with them and more time enjoying your wedding planning adventure!
Seriously, I cannot recommend MH Events enough, I promise you won’t be disappointed!
DJ
Let’s face the music (see what I did there 😉), without a great DJ your reception and afterparty just won’t be as exciting! The DJ is the life-blood of your event and trust me, you and your guests will know if your DJ isn’t up to scratch!
Paradox Productions
What can I say about Justin? HE IS AWESOME! He is seriously who I would choose if I was planning a wedding. A phenomenal MC and DJ all wrapped up into one?! You can’t ask for anything else!
Justin offers an incredible package! Him and his team come equipped with all the equipment they need to run a killer wedding for you! Want some extra goodies to really add pizzazz to your reception? They have a plethora of extra upgrades that you can request including, additional speakers, a photo booth, concert style lighting and much, much more!

Flowers
When it comes to weddings, nice flowers are a must! They can turn any old venue into a place that seems bright, cheery and exciting! Plus, us wedding photographers love to incorporate them into the photos we get for you, so we really appreciate nice flowers!
Darling Dahlia Floral
Charlotte is like no other florist you’ll meet! She has over 12 years of gardening experience and loves to put it to work in floral arrangements for any and every wedding!
She offers a robust selection of flowers and arrangements. Whether you just need flowers for your big day or for the next 6 months she’s got you covered! Her website is easy to use and holds a plethora of photos showing her past arrangements; a great way to get inspired!
If you still need flowers for your wedding, then look no further!
Hair and Makeup
One of the first things I like to shoot at a wedding is the “getting ready” process. This always includes some awesome photos of the bride and her party getting their hair and make-up done! There are a lot of great options but below is one of my favorites!
Glam Beauty Bar
Megan runs an incredible business! She has a truly talented team of stylists and artists and let me tell you, they know what they’re about! With years of experience under their belts they will give you the look of your dreams!
They’re priced affordably, and they offer on-site or in-studio appointments for all your hair and make-up needs. They also offer great pricing for the bridal party, creating a look of total uniformity between you and your bridesmaids! Lastly, the Glam Beauty Bar website is super easy to use!
Megan and her team do incredible work! I seriously cannot recommend them enough!
Videographer
This is one of those categories where I only have one person I can recommend. So buckle up and prepare to meet your future videographer!
Casperson Productions
Dane, the founder of Casperson Productions, is a true master of his craft! His slogan is, “Wedding videos done right” and let me tell you, he’s not kidding! He’s shot over 100 wedding films and has been in this field for a long time! He’s professional and a joy to be around!
He offers a wide variety of packages to suit any need and or desire you might have! Whether you just want a short reel or a full day movie he can make it happen! For those of you who hire him for his short film projects he offers the awesome perk of same day editing; so that the video can be shown at your reception on your big day!
There is no one else I can recommend over Dane! Please reach out to him and see if he’s right for you!
Catering
Every wedding has food of some sort! Whether you choose to go with the sit-down dinner, a buffet line, or even something like a food cart, you and your guests gotta eat! Trust me when I say, you will be glad you ate something at your wedding!
Pearl Catering
Pearl Catering has been in the food business since 2003, so when I say that they’ve been in the game for a long time you know I mean it! They offer a wide variety of services including but not limited to wedding catering. They have served pretty much every big-name brand you can think of, so you can be assured that they’ve got experience providing good food!
They have options for both sit-down meals and buffet lines, giving you choices for how you want your wedding meal to go! With a large variety of menus (depending on the meal) and services you're bound to get something that’s just right for you!
A great company to work with, Pearl Catering easily gets my recommendation for caterer!
Cake
Ah yes, la pièce de résistance. Your wedding cake! You probably don’t need me to tell you how many options you have when it comes to getting your wedding cake! With no shortage of choices I’d like to point out one bakery that I think does an absolutely remarkable job!
Bee’s Cakes
Rebecca Powazek is the master behind the mixer! She has been crafting cakes for years and shows no sign of slowing down! She makes quite literally some of the coolest cakes I’ve ever seen! Like seriously, go check out her IG right now!
She offers a wide variety of cakes and has custom order forms so that you get exactly what you want! Don’t like cake? Not a problem! Bee’s offers a wide selection of treats for your big day, from macaroons to bars Rebecca will make sure that you have something sweet and delicious to eat on your wedding day!
Don’t believe me? Rebecca offers a tasting for $30! It includes four small cakes of your choosing and a one-hour consultation! You just can’t lose when you go through Bee’s Cakes!

Pip’s Chai and Doughnut Truck
Talk about delicious! Pip’s offer a wide variety of flavors, both chai and doughnuts, and offer a few different service packages based upon your needs!
Depending on your package, you'll get to choose from a selection of 5 different flavors of house-made chai and 4 different flavors of doughnuts, all crafted and perfected by the Pip’s team. They also offer drip coffee if Chai’s not your style!
Seriously delicious and seriously worthy of your wedding day!
No matter who you choose for your wedding day vendors make sure that you’re getting what truly makes you happy! Just because I’d recommend these guys (and gals), that doesn’t mean that your favorite vendor is not just as good!
