Manzanita Cliffs and Beach Engagement Photos

As wedding photographers, we get the incredible privilege of capturing love stories in some of the most beautiful spots in Oregon, and this engagement session on the Oregon Coast with Dan and Veronica was one for the books!

They were the lucky winners of our free engagement session giveaway back in February, and although COVID-19 delayed their shoot, the wait made it even more magical. We ended up having almost the entire Oregon coastline to ourselves, making for a private, intimate experience perfect for capturing their love.

Stunning Oregon Coast Engagement Photos at Manzanita

Dan and Veronica call Astoria, Oregon home, but they were willing to travel a bit south to Manzanita, OR for this stunning engagement session. We ventured off the beaten path to find the perfect backdrop: epic cliffs and a gorgeous, secluded beach that were nothing short of breathtaking. The Oregon Coast is famous for its dramatic landscapes, and we made sure to capture the rugged cliffs and wide-open ocean views that make it one of the best engagement photo locations in the state.

Despite the weather forecast predicting cloudy skies all day, we were lucky enough to experience perfect conditions—soft light, a gentle breeze, and those gorgeous cliffs bathed in the glow of sunset.

Adventure Engagement Session in Oregon’s Natural Beauty

One of the best parts of being wedding photographers in Oregon is the chance to explore new spots—and Dan and Veronica’s engagement session gave us just that. After a short hike down the road to the cliffs, we ventured further to capture intimate moments with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. Dan, who’s no stranger to hikes around the area, pointed out even more cliffs nearby that would be amazing for future shoots (hint, hint—future adventure session!).

The weather was chilly, but Dan and Veronica were all-in for the experience—so much so that they jumped into the icy cold Pacific Ocean for some fun, beachside photos. Let’s just say, we couldn’t feel our feet by the end of the session, but it was totally worth it for those stunning shots! The combination of their love and the wild beauty of the Oregon Coast created images we’ll never forget.
