A lovely Spring wedding at Abernethy Center
Perfect weather, a beautiful couple, and a stunning location. Aubrey and Brad’s wedding was truly one of a kind!
When Aubrey and Brad first reached out to me regarding their wedding day and engagement photography, I knew that we’d be friends! Sure enough, throughout our conversations and interactions I found that I had made a correct assumption! Their wedding day was scheduled for May 25th, 2022. They picked the 25th because it lined up with so many other major events in their lives, all of which have happened on the 25th of one month or another!
Aubrey and Brad have a special love for each other that is present in everything they do! It was bound to be that way, after all their first date included Aubrey helping Brad change the spark plugs in his 65’ Plymouth Valiant, and if that’s not love then I don’t know what is! Aubrey and Brad share many great things in their life together, two of which are their adorable dogs, Shepard and Abby! Aubrey and Brad shared that some of their favorite activities to do together include walking the dogs, fishing, camping and, best of all snuggling up close together! Both Aubrey and Brad have a passion for wood. While they use it in different ways, they both love it for its creative uses (as you’ll read about below).
Aubrey and Brad chose to host their beautiful event at the Abernethy Center in Portland, and as always, it was a stunning venue! However, to add to all the glory of the grounds, Oregon finally decided to play nice and granted Aubrey and Brad with a brilliant sunny day! The massive amounts of natural greenery played excellently with Brad’s incredibly handsome grey suit and Aubrey’s dress was simply stunning, as it popped perfectly against the natural backdrops! One of the coolest additions to Aubrey and Brad’s wedding was through some of their decorum and their serving ware. Like I mentioned above, both Aubrey and Brad love to use wood to fulfill their creative passions and they included some of their works in their wedding, which included their cake cutting utensils and some of their flowers!
While their wedding wasn’t huge, with an estimated 75 guests in attendance, it was nonetheless incredibly touching! Aubrey and Brad decided that an evening ceremony would be best, allowing everyone some extra flexibility on the day of! Their guests were simply beaming with joy and excitement when they joined the reception. The party carried on till around 9pm with a wonderful first dance and some delicious cupcakes from the Fat Cupcake Company here in Oregon.
