Kait + Ashton

A Spring ceremony at

Postlewait’s Country Weddings

Sometimes when you meet the love of your life, it takes a bit to work up the courage to make the first move. For Ashton, after first meeting Kait at her work where she held the position as a receptionist, the nerves were just a little too much and it wasn’t until he’d come back to Kait’s work 4 or 5 times that he finally worked up the courage to ask her out. Working up that courage was totally worth it however, as 4 years later these two made their love life-time official with a beautiful ceremony at Postlewait’s Country Weddings.

I got to know Kait and Ashton after Kait’s supervisor (a prior Kate Holt Photography groom) turned her my way. Chatting with the two of them, I felt an instant click and knew we would make some magic together!

After a snowy engagement session on Mount Hood that was an absolute blast, we worked together to plan out the final details for their big day.

Getting married in April in the PNW can certainly pose some challenges weather-wise, but when April 29th rolled around, we were met with an afternoon of fairly nice weather and the rain even held off just long enough to be able to take advantage of Postlewait’s beautiful grounds for Kait and Ashton’s Bridal Portraits.

Postlewait’s Country Weddings is a lovely little venue tucked in the farm country near Canby, Oregon so if you look closely at some of the sneak peek photos from Kait and Ashton’s day you can see the neighboring herd of friendly cows coming to say hi to the newlyweds!

For their wedding, Kait put together a soft, romantic palette of whites and pale greens, accentuated by bunches of eucalyptus and white lilacs in her florals that made her reception hall smell like a dream!

Ashton’s father even brought out his Ferrari from storage to add a little va-va-voom to their getaway ride at the end of the night which was definitely epic!

Enjoy this little selection of images from Kait and Ashton’s wedding day and leave a note of congratulations for them in the comments section below!
