A Mountain-Top Winter Engagement on Mount Hood
Chris and Danni's love story is one for the books! They met on Hinge two years ago, both with a love for all things nerdy and a shared interest in the Harry Potter series. Their relationship started with a conversation about their mutual interest in Dune, and they hit it off from there. They decided to meet at Breakside brewery, where they discovered that they were on the exact same page in the book they were reading!
They both adore their Bernedoodle puppy named Ginny and enjoy hiking and kayaking together. They also share a love for fantasy and science fiction films, but Danni also introduced Chris to Broadway films like Rent, a genre that she grew up loving being so close to New York.
Danni is a pediatric surgeon, while Chris works for Nike. She grew up in Philly and came out west for pediatrics school, completing her residency in Portland. They are moving back to Philly soon, so she can work at her dad's clinic. Chris took an internship at Nike in Oregon during his summer away from attending business school at Dartmouth and he ended up loving it so much that he decided to move to Oregon in June 2020 to continue working for the company. It was during this time that he and Dani met, just before his other friends were going to move to Oregon to work for Nike as well.
During the pandemic, they bonded over hiking, kayaking, and watching films. Some of their favorite hikes include Mt. Hamilton, Burnt Lake, 10 Falls, and Archer Mountain. They also love visiting Smith Rock and the Bend area. Their shared love for the outdoors has fostered an adventurous spirit in their relationship, and just after their engagement session on Mount Hood they were headed to a ski weekend on Bachelor and then to Montana to taste that Big Sky powder!
After a year of dating, Chris proposed to Danni with a scavenger hunt around their house, which ended at a park they both frequent. He popped the question, and she said yes! They are set to get married at Skamania Lodge on August 12, 2023.
Chris and Danni's love story is a testament to the power of shared interests, adventures, and being in the right place at the right time. Their future together is bright, filled with endless possibilities and adventures!
