A Gorgeous Garden Wedding
in Springfield, OR
Standing in the hot sun in mid July, all the guest’s eyes are on you, your heart is beating a little faster than usual, a little nervous but a little more excited, the bride’s ceremony entrance music comes on and the suspense heightens and then it happens - reality melts away and all there is is just you and your bride, nothing else matters in the world but this moment, right here and right now.
Lindsey appeared in the aisle and Tyler’s face lit up with joy and it was so obvious that he was exactly where he needed to be.
Both Lindsey and Tyler had expressed earlier in the day that they were nervous about their vows but excited about everything else!
It became real to me why that was the case once they shared their vows. The amount of care, love and attention that they poured into their vows made it the most moving part of their wedding day.
As a photographer I am usually so focused on capturing all the important moments of the ceremony but on this day I caught myself getting drawn into the stories they were sharing about them and their journey together from when they first met to this, their wedding day. They were able to create a beautiful connection with the audience and as I looked around they were able to create all sorts of effects on their friends and family.
But let’s turn back to the start of the day for a second!
Lindsey had told me they were getting married at a friend’s property in Springfield but it was not what I expected!
When I arrived I was blown away by the entire space, the house was like none other, the ceremony location had trees that towered far and high and I got so excited about all the special spots around the property to take bridal portraits of this amazing couple.
Lindsey is by far the most relaxed bride I have worked with. No matter what was occurring Lindsey went with it and I could tell her goal was to enjoy her wedding day regardless of what happened and it went perfectly.
Both Tyler and Lindsey welcomed me with big smiles and such appreciation. This is such a testament to their personalities because as I watched them throughout the day they treated everyone with the same amount of love and it made me realize why everyone adored them and loved being around them in the way they did!
My morning was spent with some time capturing them getting ready and then we moved right into the first look.
They beamed at each other when they got to see each other for the first time and Tyler was in awe of the beauty of his bride-to-be!
Friendship is a huge part of their lives and their bridal party was made up of all of their closest friends and family. Bridal party portraits were definitely fun and turned out perfectly!
The day rolled forward and we snuck off for some sunset portraits while all of their guests were getting tacos for dinner - the best tacos in town for sure! These tacos had people going back for seconds they were that good!
The sunset glow was gorgeous thanks to the perfect field close by and we laughed as we enjoyed snapping some of the most stunning bridal portraits of the day!
Once we got back to the reception the party started. Everyone loved on these two, shared special stories about them and then danced the night away with them!
It was such a blessing to be a part of their big day and Kate and I wish them the best in all the years to come.
