Kate’s Most Anticipated Events of 2022

2022 is proving itself to be one of the busiest years in recent history. With Covid-19 finally ramping down a bit, more and more people are getting back into the swing of things! That means more weddings which is a great thing for the wedding photography business.

Dom and I don’t mind the increase in business. We work better in busier environments and so this is a kind of comfort area for us! Of course, with all these weddings to shoot we were bound to get some crazy cool opportunities to shoot at some crazy cool places! I thought I’d share my excitement with you all and let you know about my most anticipated events of 2022!

#1 Caroline and Jeff’s Nashville Wedding

Caroline and Jeff have planned their super romantic wedding at Mint Spring Farms, one of the most premiere wedding venues in the nation! Dom and I got to spend a whole weekend with Caroline and Jeff for their engagement session in the San Juan Islands, and I have to say that these two have the most amazing stories and are truly up for anything! On their engagement session weekend we had crazy weather that ranged from hail and rain to ocean spray and howling wind. They also had a few moments of blue skies and even a rainbow!  No matter the weather these two were up for it, so we know their wedding is going to be next level!

Dom and I are super excited for this wedding! We don’t get to shoot too many destination weddings each year so this is a treat! With the wedding being in March we’re not sure what to expect from the weather but it will be an adventure nonetheless!

#2 Kelly and TJ’s New Jersey Wedding

Kelly and TJ are just a fantastic laid-back couple who we instantly clicked with when we got to know them at the start of their wedding planning journey. When Kelly and TJ booked us, they hadn’t fully decided on the venue they wanted for their wedding, but all the options they were considering sounded amazing! TJ is a huge ocean lover which meant that Dom and I instantly had a bond over a love of everything underwater. There was a point when one of the wedding venues TJ and Kelly were considering was at an aquarium! Ultimately, Kelly and TJ decided to go with the stunning Running Deer Golf Club which is an ideal match for our natural light style!

We had a blast hiking all over Mount Hood with Kelly and TJ this past summer and enjoyed meeting up for dinner and drinks as we planned out what is going to be one epic wedding!

#3 Lisa and James Sedona, AZ Wedding

Dom and I have wanted to explore the stunning national parks of Arizona for three years now, so when Lisa and James finalized their venue plans to include Sedona, it was a dream come true!  Lisa and James are the sweetest couple and after a romantic evening on the beach with their two adorable pups for their engagement session, anticipation for their stunning wedding at the Tlaquepaque Arts Center reached an all-time high!

Dom and I will be flying down to Arizona a few days prior to the wedding for additional photoshoots in the stunning parks near Sedona. We’re also planning a sunrise hike at the Grand Canyon!

#4 Taylor and Josh’s Chehalis Wedding

We met Taylor and Josh through our adventure session giveaway where we had a blast during a sunrise session in the Painted Hills. Taylor and Joshua are so much fun to photograph as they are up for anything and are truly enthusiastic about photography. I’m also particularly excited about Taylor’s wedding shoes as, being a shoe-a-holic myself, they might just be the fanciest wedding shoes I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing!

Taylor and Josh have become more than clients to us, and we actually count them as our dear friends so being a part of their stunning wedding day will be a dream come true!

#5 Hannah and Jordan's Woodland, WA Wedding

Hannah and Jordan just might be two of the nicest people on planet earth. Dom and I had the most amazing time exploring a park where Hannah and Jordan spent a lot of time during the early part of their relationship. As we walked the many acres of this stunning ocean-side natural area, I completely fell in love with these two. Hannah and Jordan have the most incredible relationships with their families and also both have the craziest family heritage stories that kept Dom and I laughing non-stop all day long! Their wedding is at the stunning Great Hall at Green Lake, and we’ll be traveling and spending the weekend up in Washington for this event.

We’re super excited for this wedding because the love between these two and their families is so deep! We’re excited and honored to be a part of their big day!

I hope you enjoyed reading about my most anticipated events for this year! Even though you won’t be able to experience them in person with Dom and I, there will be thousands of photos and you are guaranteed to see them on my website and on the Socials! So, stay tuned for new and exciting photos and galleries!
