Aaron + Riley

A gorgeous summer wedding day at

McMenamins Edgefield Administrator’s House

After two years of not offering wedding celebrations, I was so happy that the summer of 2022 brought back Edgefield celebrations!

The campus of McMenamins Edgefield offers a unique opportunity for a wedding celebration. With something lilke 6 different ceremony locations, acers of land taht includes gardens, a golf course, several adorable buildings and of course the hidden vineyard that is perfect for sunset, the options for creative photography are endless!

Aaron and Riley rented out the Administrator’s house so that their wedding party and immediate family would have a central spot to stay to prep for and enjoy their entire day.

Starting their morning by exchanging private vows of love together in the morning, Riley then sequestered herself upin the attic with her bridesmaids to begin hair and makeup.

Aaron and the groomsmen gathered in the livingroom downstairs to don their suits and suspenders. Aaron looked absolutely dashing in his “shark skin greek” bespoke suit. He and his groomsmen also added custom marine animal socks to their outfits with patterns ranging from Manta Rays to Anglerfish!

Riley’s Bridesmaids were dressed in floor length chiffon dresses in a coral hue continuing the nod to Riley’s love of all things ocean. For her bridal look, Riley chose a mermaid cut bo-ho inspired dress that had the most gorgeous and delicate beaded and lace details down the back and finished with a scalloped train. her hair was braided to show off both the length and highlighting she had worked on for months leading up the the wedidng day. Adding a mid-length veil and delicate florals of ranunculus, rose and anenome completed her bridal look.

Riley and Aaron chose a wedding day that included a private first look and seeing Aaron turn to see his stunning bride is something I will never forget. Across Aaron’s face in a matter of seconds upon seeing Riley for the first time was joy and overwhelming emotion. There was both laughter and tears as they enjoyed showing off for each other and transitioning immediately into their bridal portraits, the energy of this incredible day continued to be pure elation.

For their ceremony, Riley and Aaron added an irish binding ceremony and an epic mid-aisle dip on their recessional.

Riley had chosen a stunning collection of farmer’s market flowers for her reception table decor displayed in a mis-match collection of second hand vases and rented wood cuts that fit perfectly with the hidden garden atmosphere of the Adminstrator’s House.

The toasts given to celebrate Riley and Aaron’s union were incredibly well done and emotional, leaving everyone present with tears in their eyes. Being recreational swing-dancers, Riley and Aaron tore it up on their first dance and invited everyone to join them and party late into the evening.

Being on this wedding journey with Riley and Aaron and their families has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to see the beautiful life ahead of this incredible couple.

Enjoy a selection of images from their wedding day, and leave a comment of congrats below!
