A Love Story of Two Military Service Members: Madeleine & Gabriel
Madeleine and Gabriel are two military service members with a remarkable love story. It all began when they met while stationed in Wyoming, where she was a lawyer and he was military police. They started dating, endured a year apart when Gabriel was deployed, and then celebrated their relationship with a trip to Iceland. Let’s take a deeper look at this incredible romance between Madeleine and Gabriel!
The couple decided to celebrate their relationship with a special trip to Iceland for 10 days in December. They went on hikes and photographed their memories along the way– taking plenty of selfies! Madeleine took these photos and put them into an album that she gave to Gabriel once they came back home. He was so touched by her thoughtfulness that he actually cried! This experience has made getting the perfect wedding album an important part of the wedding experience for both of them.
Madeleine originally lived in Wyoming but has moved to North Pole, Alaska Meanwhile, Gabriel lives in Georgia now; yet despite the distance between them, the couple manages to see each other as much as they can! When together they revel in the simple everyday things they do together, from cooking a meal to snuggling up for a movie, being close together is such a privilege that they concentrate on one another and soak it all up!
Military service members often need to confront difficult situations due to frequent deployments or relocations; however, it is amazing how much love can make these two feel close, even if they are far away from each other!
Madeleine and Gabriel are proof of this—despite being stationed on different sides of the country, they found each other and fell deeply in love. Their story stands as an inspiration for us all—no matter how difficult it may seem at times, there is always hope for true love when you least expect it!
For their engagement session, we selected a week when both Madeleine and Gabe would both be in Oregon right before Christmas. The weather being as unpredictable as it is in the PNW in December, we had planned to explore Hoyt Arboretum, but a freezing storm blew in and last minute we opted to rent a studio and keep warm!
Both Gabe and Madeleine confessed they were a bit nervous about using a studio for their engagement session, but within minutes they were laughing, smuggling and sharing hilarious stories of their relationship. By the end of the shoot even Gabe who had stated that he wasn’t a big fan of photos even said he had a great time, win win!
