A Gorgeous Wedding Day at Wickering Heights, WA
I was constantly checking my weather app the entire week before Michelle and Chris’ wedding day. The forecast just showed rain, rain and, yup, even more rain! But as you know if you are from the Pacific North West you can never trust the weather app too far into the future! The day before their wedding day I pulled out my app and I almost did a dance on the spot - no rain in the forecast!
These two deserved the perfect day for their wedding because they had to do what a lot of bride and grooms did and that was plan their wedding during COVID!
So when I arrived to their wedding venue that morning I was so happy to see that the sun was shining and the clouds were parting!
I pulled into the wedding venue called Wickering Heights and got all excited because the venue was so unique and beautiful at the same time and I could see so much potential for Michelle and Chris’ wedding photos!
I got out of my car and was almost immediately greeted by Angela, the owner of Wickering Heights as well as the coordinator for the day! She showed me around and was super helpful!
Once I got my bearings I found the groom hanging out with two of his groomsmen, Brandon and Timothy, having a few mimosas and a few good laughs to start the day off.
Michelle, the bride, was starting the whole getting ready process with her mom and her bridesmaids, having a great time and enjoying themselves!
I have to say that her make-up artist and their team were pretty amazing! They created such a beautiful look for Michelle that I have to give them a shout out right here! GLAMbeauty Bar - check them out if you are looking for a make up artist!
Once everyone was ready I set up Chris for the first look. Chris was nervous but definitely excited! Michelle walked up and tapped Chris on the shoulder and as Chris turned around he was completely stunned by how beautiful Michelle looked in her wedding dress! You could tell these two were meant for each other right at this moment, the way they looked at each other!
The day rolled forward and the wedding ceremony was beautiful! Michelle and Chris shared their vows with a few tears of happiness and a lots of laughs!
After the ceremony ended and as we finished up the family formal portraits the rain started coming down so we all retreated into the warmth of the wedding reception space!
Toasts were shared, a large, gorgeous charcuterie board was feasted upon and the night was danced away!
