Marisa + Rob
It’s not always that a couple describes their relationship as “love at first sight” but for Marisa, something about Rob just spoke to her the first time she met him. “I just knew!” Marisa said when describing her and Rob’s first meet-up at a local coffee shop that would lead to three years of dating and a surprise proposal on a rainy PNW day this past 6th of May.
As a couple, Rob and Marisa are quite the travelers. They’ve explored national parks together via epic road trips, they’ve adventured around Mexico and just after their engagement they explored the UK visiting England and Scotland!
For their engagement experience, Marisa and Rob choose to create another adventure together and we headed up the winding mountain roads that lead to Trillium Lake up on Mount Hood.
Arriving just as the sun-seeking families were packing up for the day, we snuck over to a patch of greenery and were pleasantly surprised to find a multitude of wildflowers still blooming brightly.
Laughing as we took our first set of photos, Marisa described her and Rob as “Golden Retriever people” and were eager to let their gorgeous smiles spread across their faces as we made our way over to the lake.
Hanging out with Marisa and Rob was just like meeting up with old friends and the conversation roamed easily from the conversation about their pup to Rob’s shoe collection, which surprisingly enough might actually be bigger than mine!
As the alpenglow began to color Mount Hood in a gorgeous glowing pink, Marisa and Rob popped a bottle of special champagne they’d been given and toasted to their future as Mr. and Mrs.
Their wedding will be at the stunning Wind Mountain Ranch in Stevenson, WA next summer and I can’t wait to see the beauty their big day will bring!
Until then, enjoy this little selection of images from Marisa and Rob’s engagement session, and leave a note of congratulations for them in the comments section below!
