Trent and Shell

I first met Trent and Shell at a local coffee house and instantly I loved them. Shell’s infectious smile and Trent's booming laugh made us instant and fast friends. Their beautiful wedding spanned two gorgeous venues: Beacon Hill winery and Loch Lolly Christmas Tree Farm.

The day started off relaxed with ample getting ready space for Shell and her girls in the Vineyard home while the guys drank cold beers on the tasting room porch.

The thing to know about Trent and Shell is they are fully DIY-ers when it comes to their wedding! From the hand-painted signs to the floral arrangements, they and their talented family and friends had a hand in every aspect of this gorgeous June wedding. When I arrived, the girls were busy putting together all the florals and I set to photographing Shell as she slipped into her gorgeous 20’s inspired dress as Dom ushered the guys upstairs of the tasting area to don their funky socks and blue toned suits.

We did their first look and Bridal Portraits on the early summer greens of the Vineyard grounds and the air was soon filled with the joyous laughter of Trent, Shell and their closest family and friends.

Their ceremony was laid out next to the lake at Lock Lolly and with no cell service, all in attendance were distraction-free as Trent and Shell professed their intentions to spend their lives together.

The ceremony was brief but moving and the vows Trent and Shell said to each other ran the whole gamut of human emotion- tears, laughter, and even shock and awe!

Their kiss was spectacular and framed by the blue water which took on a spectacular shade in the golden light of the early evening.

A taco bar was opened and the cocktails flowed for the guests as a live band started playing and the party was officially kicked off. Toasts were given with the creativity and style fitting of this beautiful couple and the laughter of the guests was almost constant throughout the evening.

We managed to sneak off for a few epic sunset portraits and then back to the party which lasted well into the dark on this long summer day.

When the guests finally did retire, they pitched tents on the Loch Lolly grounds under the stars.

I am lucky to count Trent and Shell not only as one of my couples, but now as some of my dear friends.
