Tim + Breanna
An afternoon engagement session at The Oregon Gardens
When I first chatted with Breanna I feel in love with her easy-going style an her adorably sweet smile. She is someone that you just instantly feel a kinship with and I was absolutely thrilled that she and her fiancee Tim asked me to be their wedding photographer.
Breanna and Tim have been together for over 3 years. They met in Salem for first date enjoying a casual lunch together and then spending several spectacular hours together getting to know one another while strolling around the German Folk Festival in Mount Angel for Octoberfest. It was practically love at first date, and the two have been inseparable ever since!
Tim proposed to Breanna at the beach, one of their favorite places in the world! They especially love Agate beach and are planning their intimate wedding there this August with just family and very close friends.
For their engagement session, we met up at the beautiful grounds of The Oregon Gardens and we enjoyed ourselves, chatting and taking photos as we walked around the acres of beautifully manicured gardens.
We spent the first hot hour walking from shady spot to shady spot, trying to avoid the hot summer sum. While they were in their casual outfits, I had Tim and Breanna do everything from playing silly games, to learning “the nuzzle” and even having them trek off-path a bit into the tall grass for a portrait with some epic Oak trees. They are the sweetest people you could ever meet and were game for anything I three their way- my kind of people!
As the afternoon started to give way to the early evening, we swung back to the entrance where Tim and Breanna changed into a slightly more formal outfit. Breanna admitted that wearing a dress was a rare occasion indeed, and Tim laughed as he told me that he had to make Breanna promise that her wedding outfit would in fact be a dress!
I took some time to photograph Breanna’s gorgeous engagement ring in several different flowers that were blooming all over, and we made the most of Breanna’s navy blue dress, making her twirl and dip and “girl” it up!
By the end of the session I was sad to part from these two wonderful people, but knowing that I’ll be celebrating with them on the beach soon makes my heart sing!
