Hello, dear readers and photography enthusiasts! Today, I'm thrilled to share with you a truly special engagement session that I had the pleasure of photographing. Kimberly and Russell, a couple deeply in love, decided to celebrate their engagement in one of their favorite places— the breathtaking Oregon Coast.
Kimberly and Russell's love story is as unique as they come. Having been together for four wonderful years, they currently reside in Salem, Oregon. Russel, originally from Oahu, Hawaii, moved to Salem years ago with his family, while Kimberly, hailing from Corvalis, found her passion as an event planner at The Crox Center in Salem, where Russell coincidentally worked as the front desk manager.
Their journey together began with a whimsical encounter that sparked their romance. Kimberly, always seeing herself as a "bubble blower" in a world of "bubble poppers," had a serendipitous moment when Russell caught her blowing bubbles and instantly joined in with enthusiasm. This playful moment became a catalyst for their relationship, leading Kimberly to take the bold step of asking Russell out on their first date.
Fast forward to their engagement session on the Oregon Coast, a place cherished by Kimberly and Russell for its serene beauty and calming waves. We started the session by capturing their joy on the sandy shores. We were lucky to have a fairly warm day where Russell had to resist the urge to dive into the waves as he would normally do- braving the chill of the Pacific to commune with the ocean.
As the sun began its descent, we headed to Kimberly's family boat docked in the Newport Marina. This charming boat holds a special place in their hearts, where they often retreat for overnight stays, serenaded by the gentle sounds of Russell's ukulele, which even attracts a local seal known affectionately as Selio.
At sunset, with glasses of champagne in hand, Russell serenaded Kimberly once again, this time with a heartfelt melody that echoed their love and shared dreams. It was a moment filled with laughter, music, and the unmistakable warmth of two souls deeply in love.
Beyond their love for the Oregon Coast, Kimberly and Russell share a passion for music, attending concerts together, and exploring new destinations both across the United States and internationally. Kimberly dreams of showing Russell the beauty of South Africa, while they both eagerly anticipate future adventures in Italy and Greece.
