Micaela + Kyle
It’s not often that you get to have not one but two amazing wedding experiences with the same incredible couple!
With Micaela and Kyle, however, I truly struck gold and not only did I have the pleasure of photographing their very small, intimate 2020 wedding, but they invited me back for their larger Vow Renewal ceremony where they were able to have the large wedding experience they had always wanted!
It was lovely to start this day by hanging out with Micaela in her and Kyle’s new home while she and her best friends and sister readied their hair and makeup.
Micaela had also gifted each woman in her bridal party a lovely aromatherapy gift bag that was the perfect touch to calm any pre-celebration jitters.
From her house, I headed to Mount Pisgah and welcomed the sight of the stunning trees of the arboretum, kindly giving shade on this hot summer day.
Kyle and his groomsmen were just finishing putting on ties and boutineers when Micaela snuck past and into the changing building to don her stunning wedding gown.
Kyle and Micaela shared a private first look before their wedding party joined them for photos, aided by the fantastic organizational skills of Micaela’s aunt.
After family photos, the wedding party retreated to the shade of the reception area and I had the pleasure to witness the joy of family and friends arriving and greeting each other effusively. In many cases, this was the first meet-up in years, and you could see the joy on everyone’s faces.
Their Vow Renewal ceremony was absolutely lovely, and I couldn’t help but tear up a little while I saw Micaela’s reaction to Kyle’s vows to her.
After the ceremony, Kyle and Micaela mingled with their guests while a scrumptious Taco and Burrito Bar was put together for dinner.
Toasts, Cake Cutting and Dancing followed as the golden light of the evening filtered through the trees, blessing this incredible couple and the long happy years of marriage they are sure to have ahead of them.
