Engagement Session at Government Cove, OR
A few months ago we were running a little giveaway to engaged couples in the Portland area for a free engagement session and Lexi + Stephen were one of the winners!
Lexi and Stephen are amazing and were so much fun to do a session with! We were enjoying each others company the whole time as well as soaking in the beautiful sunset of that evening.
As part of our engagement session giveaway it is conditional we go somewhere different and new so we chose Government Cove in The Gorge! It’s probably shocking that we have never been here before, but there’s a first for everything and I must say, this location did not disappoint! Now we know what all the fuss is about!
When Dom and I arrived we could tell that Lexi and Stephen were excited for their shoot, as cute gifs from Lexi popped up on my phone expressing their anticipation of our arrival.
Lexi and Stephen recently had their first child, Addilynn, who I had the pleasure of photographing a few weeks ago. During our session it was just so obvious that these two are amazing parents and Addilynn was born in the right place! Stephen shared the cutest thing that Addilynn’s favorite place to sleep is on his chest and that he often props up pillows around himself to create a safe place for her to sleep the night through.
We explored Government Cove and found some beautiful locations as the sun was setting. Lexi and Stephen were naturals and the love they have for each other was so evident and real. Lots of giggling, cuddling and real moments throughout the whole shoot, Stephen could put a smile on Lexi’s face in an instant!
As the sun was setting we wrapped up the shoot and headed back toward the car. Dom and I love getting outside and exploring and as an extra bonus we spent a lot of the hike picking Stephen’s brain about all the amazing hikes he had done. It was fun to hear some of Stephen’s stories with his adventures and got us super excited to get out there and explore more of this PNW. We practically grilled him about his experience with multi-day hikes in the Bend area. Dom and I haven’t really done a multi-day hike in Oregon, but this is something we have always wanted to do. Now we are planning a time to get a hike to Green Lakes, OR in sometime this year!
I am super excited at the opportunity to photograph Lexi and Stephen’s love story, and so happy that this free engagement session giveaway brought them into our life.
