An Engagement Session at Leach Botanical Gardens
Tracy and Dennis were turned my way after booking their wedding at the stunning East Fork Country Estate out in Damascus, Oregon. The owners of East Fork and ourselves have had the most lovely relationship over the past two years, and we really bonded over helping couples get through the uncertainties of wedding planning in 2020.
I was just thrilled when Tracy reached out to me to photograph her and Dennis’ wedding!
Tracy and Dennis actually met as kids and lived just down the street from one another! They dated a bit in highschool, but life drew them apart for years before their paths once again were brought together.
Dennis is a really talented guitar player, and Tracy loves hanging out and listening to him play.
Tracy and Dennis have children from previous marriages, but have worked hard to make sure their kids blended well together, making a new family together that just clicks.
Tracy said one of her favorite things about Dennis is that he is such a great communicator and a truly wonderful father to all their kids. She’s always amazed at his willingness to drop everything to help in any way he can.
Dennis loves Tracy’s personality and positivity and will do anything for her, including a photo session which, like most men, isn’t exactly on his top favorite activities list!
Tracy picked the Leach botanical gardens for their engagement session and the autumn colors were just starting to come on so the cozy hats and warm cider she brought along emphasized the crisp fall atmosphere.
We had a good time wandering the trails and laughing as we re-lived Dennis’ engagement proposal to Tracy.
We had the sun peek out of the classically overcast Oregon sky for just a few moments of golden light which was lovely and then we had to scoot out of the gardens as the gates closed up for the evening.
We had a lovely time celebrating their engagement and I can’t wait for Tracy and Dennis’ incredible wedding at East Fork next June!
