Kate + Brian
Brian and Kate had said “I do,” we took a few family photos and then jumped into my Jeep to drive into the Mt Rainier park to take some “just married” portraits of these two. As we were driving up to Christine Falls it was like hanging out with friends and I got to know a little more about their story.
They both met while working as archaeologists looking for pre-historical and historical artifacts. After that they moved to Alaska and then finally ended up here in the PNW.
These guys are made for each other and it is obvious as you will see from some of the photos below. The love pours out of the images!
Kate and Brian love a little bit of adventure in the form of hiking and backpacking as well as some camping. They love adventuring in the Olympic National Park and other areas in the PNW!
When I arrived at the venue Brian was right there in the parking lot and welcomed me with a ton of friendliness and smiles! He showed me around this gorgeous spot which had that Mt Rainier wilderness feel to it coupled with a perfect little cabin to stay the night in.
I got to work photographing the details including rings, cuff links and their wedding day attire. Brian was wearing a smart blue suit sported with cuff links with an etching of the mountain and Kate donned her gorgeous wedding dress with a pair of earrings her and her ladies picked out!
The ceremony was small and intimate with their closest family members.
Kate and Brian shared their own vows during the ceremony. Brian got the whole crowd tearing up while he shared his promises to Kate trying hard not to cry himself but the emotion was real! Kate was beaming at him the entire time.
Due to the intimate size of their wedding they hired a personal chef who cooked the most amazing food including steak and gnocchi and seasoned scallops that made your mouth melt!
I was planning to head home right after we returned from the Mt Rainier park but Kate told me I could stay for dinner and I was happy I did! I got to meet all of their family and laugh and chat for the next two hours with a group of wonderful people!
Enjoy a few of my favorite photos of the couple below and share some love in the comments!
