Danielle + Bo

A Spring Engagement Session
at the Frank Manor House

From softball to sweethearts, Danielle and Bo’s love story may not be “traditional”, but it’s certainly amazing! Dnielle and Bo met near the beginning of 2012 and grew together as friends for a couple of years, during which time Bo had a growing crush on Danielle. Finally, in 2014 they made their relationship official and started dating! After that one thing led to another and on August 5th, 2019, Bo popped the question to Danielle at the Japanese Gardens here in Portland!

For their engagement session Danielle and Bo decided that the Frank Manor House on the Lewis and Clark Campus would be an excellent setting for some photos. From the manicured gardens to the incredible reflection pool, they had their hearts set. There was a moment of panic as we approached the date of the shoot, as the reflection pool had been emptied due to the irregular cold we’ve been experiencing. Luckily, the week before the engagement session, the pool was refilled and Danielle and Bo’s dreams we’re rekindled!

Photographing Danielle and Bo was an absolute blast! While neither of them started the day with much confidence in front of the camera, that’s certainly not how they ended! Danielle and Bo were both incredibly teachable and eager to learn, trying their hand at any pose I brought to them! We had a wonderful time exploring the grounds and gardens of the Frank Manor House, and I really enjoyed getting to know both Danielle and Bo. Danielle has the most beautiful laugh and Bo is practically a walking trivia data bank! They brought a lovely change of clothes which included a stunning, flowing dress that fit in perfectly with the spring blooms and breathtaking scenery!

Danielle and Bo have planned their wedding for later this year on the anniversary of their engagement, August 5th. Their selected venue is the Abernathy Center!
