A Sunset Engagement Session at Benson Lake
For Kyle and Sydney’s engagement session, they took Dom and I to a brand new location we’d never been to. Kyle and Sydney love the Benson Lake area near Multnomah Falls and go fishing there together about one a month. I’ve driven by Benson Lake many many times on the way out to the Gorge and have always wanted to stop in to see what it was like but just hadn’t ever done it so I was particularly excited to see what it was like!
Dom and I arrived a bit early, and got to walk around the lake and the beautiful grounds surrounding and we both absolutely fell in love with it!
When Kyle and Sydney arrived, they took us on a little tour of the area. They showed us a hidden waterfall and the dock area from which they would fish during their relaxed evenings at the lake.
We took them to a few spots we’d picked out and despite this being their first professional photoshoot they were laughing and looked natural and relaxed within no time.
Kyle and Sydney met online and their first date was at the dog park, as Sydney was training Service Dogs at the time, so they were a huge part of her life. Their second date they went to the beach and had an incredible time, creating memories to last a lifetime as they fell in love.
As a couple, these two are a perfect fit. Kyle loves Sydney’s silly side, and Sydney supports Kyle in his passions and goals.
We had a blast laughing while we walked around Benson Lake taking photos and learning about their relationship. Just as the sun started to set we traveled back to the dock to photograph them in their special place while they held each other and reminisced about how far they've come in the last three years.
Kyle and Sydney will be wed at the Cedarville Lodge this September and I can’t wait to document this next big moment in their love story!
